2. Explore the trails of Malibu
Charmlee Wilderness Park: Located up Encinal Canyon, this scenic hike offers the perfect blend of Malibu’s hills and breathtaking ocean views. The trail goes through shaded trees and a peaceful meadow before opening up to sweeping views that stretch from Point Dume all the way to Leo Carrillo Beach, creating some of the most stunning overlooks in all of western Malibu.

Sandstone Peak: This hike starts up Yerba Buena Canyon and leads to some of the best mountain views in all of Malibu. The trail is more difficult than most, but it is definitely worth it. As you reach the peak, you are at the highest point in the area and have incredible views of all the mountains below as they lead into the ocean.

3. Watching the sunset over the ocean
Having lived in Malibu for quite some time now, watching the sunset over the ocean is one of the only things that has never gotten old. Whether it's on the sandy beaches of Zuma, or under the beautiful rock formations at El Matador Beach, or on top of Point Dume, Malibu sunsets are some of the most beautiful things Malibu has to offer. We are lucky enough to live in a place where we can watch the sunset on the beach, so while it's still summer, go watch the sunset over our beautiful beaches.
