Situated on Malibu's landside, the community of Big Rock is the first major group of homes located off the beach as you enter Malibu from the East.

Known for its expansive coastal views of the Queen's Necklace, Catalina, and the ocean, these homes offer a wide variety of styles, sizes, and layouts, with excellent and convenient access to the amenities and workplaces of Los Angeles.

This is not a through canyon, however, there is access to a wide variety of hiking trails from the top of Big Rock that connect into the Tuna Canyon park area above. Residents here enjoy peace and privacy in a true Malibu neighborhood that is still very accessible to the city.

Big Rock was heavily affected during the Palisades Fire in 2025, and the community will be one of the many areas rebuilding in the coming years.
