Point Dume is the geographical climax of Malibu, the official point at which Central Malibu becomes Western Malibu, and a long-standing hub for local culture and lore.

As Malibu's largest community on the ocean-side of Pacific Coast Highway, Point Dume spans from Zumirez Drive down to Westward Beach Road and is one of the most coveted and integrated communities you will find in all of Malibu. Here, people live entire days on a golf cart, from school drop off at Point Dume Elementary and shopping at Point Dume Village to spending long days in the sun and surf at sandy beaches.

Most of the homes here are on larger lots, beginning at a half an acre and in many cases going well over an acre. Though it was a rural and rancher origin, Point Dume has become one of Malibu's more luxurious areas with a wide range of sprawling compounds, beautifully constructed private retreats, and original ranch homes. There are also several condominium and townhome complexes, and the famous Point Dume Club mobile home park, perched on a bluff in the center of the Point.

Many of the homes here have deeded beach rights to private easements, providing secure and exclusive access to the sandy beach and surf breaks at Little Dume. While no beach in Malibu is private, the location and coastline keep these beaches as secluded as you'll find in all of Malibu, and they are primarily enjoyed by residents and their guests. Not all the homes on Point Dume have beach rights, and each of the three Rivieras offers something unique and well-suited to its users.

The sandy beach at Little Dume offers a variety of surf breaks, from beginner level to experienced, and the sandy beach is protected from the prevailing westerly winds. Point Dume offers one of the most desired and sought-after lifestyles you'll find in all of Malibu.
