Paradise Cove has long been one of Malibu's cultural hubs, and to this day remains one of the coastal focal points for residents and visitors alike.
The central feature, Paradise Cove pier, was previously much longer and used as a fully operational fishing pier. Since it was severely damaged by a storm, the remaining pier is much shorter, but still a very popular attraction for local fishermen.
To the east of the pier, Paradise Cove has sprawling, multi-acre compounds that represent some of the most expensive and coveted real estate in the Country. Beyonce and Jay-Z made headlines here, purchasing a stunning modern compound for $200 million. Many of the state's highest sales have occurred along this sandy beach, and with limited public access and massive lot sizes, it's easy to see why.
Behind and to the west of the pier, Paradise Cove mobile home park offers a truly unique lifestyle in a singular location. These homes, ranging from single-wide trailers and triple-wide custom residences, have become highly sought after. The mobile home park is gated, making it extremely popular among celebrities, and residents enjoy private access to a sandy cove and surfing by way of golf cart.
These manufactured homes are on leased land, and the monthly lease amount varies by how many times they have been sold. To those unfamiliar, this arrangement has been in place for decades, and most units have no property taxes since the land is not owned.
Last but not least, the iconic Paradise Cove Cafe sits behind the pier, welcoming visitors and locals alike with hearty seafood dishes and tropical drinks. At Paradise Cove, there is truly something for everyone.
