Directly across the highway from Zuma Beach, Malibu Park is one of the largest and most desirable communities on Malibu's landside.
Originally, the area was used to raise cattle, and later became popular among horseback riding and farming enthusiasts. Those roots are still evident in the community; however, those residents may not recognize the area today. Malibu Park offers an incredibly wide variety of homes and styles, from original modest homes and ranches to newly constructed modern compounds.
Malibu Park has one of the most convenient locations in Western Malibu. Located between the local centers at Point Dume Village and Trancas Country Market, residents enjoy easy access to the surf and sand at Zuma Beach and a vast network of trails perfect for mountain biking or horseback riding enthusiasts. The area is also home to Malibu High School and a brand new elementary school that, as of 2025, is nearing completion.
Many of the lots here are exceptionally large, totaling 1 acre or more, with ample room for amenities including pools, sports courts, and guest homes. After being greatly affected by the Woolsey Fire in 2018, Malibu Park features many newly constructed homes and has seen a huge resurgence in desirability and sale prices. Within the community, there are two gated sections and a grouping of more modest homes on smaller lots at the Western end.
